called the meeting to order at 8:05 pm. Twenty persons were
present.
OLD BUSINESS
Secretary’s Minutes. Jerry Green moved to
accept minutes from meeting of 3/5/08, Al Kues seconded.
Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report. Bill Koentz moved to
accept, Jerry Green seconded. Motion passed.
Jamboree.
Tracy Christ summarized progress that has
been made on the event and resigned from the
chairmanship.
June 13 and June 14 are the dates on
which June Jamboree will be held this year. (Repeat
announcement)
Coolie Cups. Anyone who wants to purchase cups
should call Tracy Christ before the deadline of
05/01/08. (Repeat announcement)
City-Wide Yard Sale and Spring Clean-Up.
Yard Sale will be held Saturday, April 26th with
Tracy Christ chairing event. Clean-Up Day will be Saturday,
May 3rd with Scott Meinhardt serving as chair.
Deadline by which yard sale participants’ addresses must be
given to Teri Crane or Tracy Christ is Friday, 4/18. The
bulletin board at the civic center will accommodate detailed
fliers that participants may want to post. (Repeat

NEW BUSINESS
Miscellaneous Membership. New member Lenny
Ott of Koerner Distributing introduced himself and offered
to help the Chamber in the future. Mary Wuebbels attended
the meeting in place of the pregnant Michelle Kujawa of
Professional Therapy Services.
Barricades. Jerry Green moved to buy forty
Jersey concrete barricades, Gordon Kehrer seconded. Motion
passed. Estimated cost is $1,600.
Bleachers. Scott Meinhardt will research the
purchase of bleachers for use at community events in the
park. Tim Hoerchler moved that the Chamber donate $6,000 to
the Village to purchase bleachers, Scott Meinhardt
seconded. Motion passed.
Bill for Chamber Meeting at Hidden Lake
Winery. Mike Pokojksi moved to pay the bill, Gordon Kehrer
seconded. Motion passed.
Adjournment. Bill Koentz moved to adjourn, Brent Rakers
seconded. Motion passed.

Secretary
Larry Wankel called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Eleven
persons were present.
OLD BUSINESS
Secretary’s Minutes. Mary Kues moved to accept minutes from
meeting of 2/6/08, Tracy Christ seconded. Motion passed.
Membership agreed that it would be okay to publish minutes
on Chamber website.
Treasurer’s Report. Al Kues moved to accept, Jerry Green
seconded. Motion passed. Jill Loepker noted that excess
cash could be placed in a better account than those in which
it is now located. Finance committee should meet to discuss
issue.
Katie
Lundy Medical Need. Mike Pokojski raised question as to
whether Chamber, when it has raised funds locally, wants to
give it to people who are not local residents. Others
agreed that an undesirable precedent would be set.
Membership concluded that no donation would be made.

NEW BUSINESS

Businesses in Town. Plants should be ordered for
Margarita’s Cantina, Rehkemper’s Tile & Flooring and New
Baden Flowers. (What to give New Baden Flowers should
probably be readdressed.)
Sesquicentennial Account. John Marshall indicated a bank
account for the Sesquicentennial event still exists and that
he would like to close it. Mike Pokojski moved to put the
money in the Chamber account and close the Sesquicentennial
account, Mary Kues seconded. Motion passed. Jill Loepker
will keep track of the funds.
