Recreational and activity centers include the O. W. Billhartz Civic Center, which houses the New Baden Public Library, a gymnasium and cafeteria.  The center is used for athletic purposes, meetings and social and fund-raising activities.  Contact the New Baden Village Hall to inquire about reserving the facility (588-3813).

The 41-acre New Baden Community Park has a swimming pool, tennis courts, ball diamonds, soccer field, picnic facilities, sand volleyball court, basketball court, hockey rink and a walking trail.

New Baden is served by four fine churches: St. George Catholic Church, New Baden United Methodist, First Baptist Church of New Baden and Zion United Church of Christ.

Students from New Baden enroll in Wesclin Community School District No. 3New Baden Elementary is for grades pre-K through third grade and St. George Elementary School is for grades four through six.  The Wesclin Junior-Senior High School is located between New Baden and Trenton.
